Any time there is a change in administrations, it is reasonable to expect changes to happen in domestic policy. That is even more so when control goes from one political party to the other, as the change is more drastic. The 2016 election cycle was for many reasons an unusual one, and now many are left to the predict the unpredictable. For industries that rely on Komax’s products, such as Oil & Gas, Beverages (Alcoholic and Non), Paper and many others, the question is “What Now?”
From all known accounts, it seems like while changes will go that affect most businesses and industries, not just in the United States but across the world, there is cautious optimism in many areas. The new administration has zeroed in on the elimination or relaxation of many regulations that have slowed down growth. Most of the targeted regulations are environmentally focused – showing a clear trade-off.
The biggest area of unpredictability comes in foreign trade, where there will undoubtedly be change, though no one is sure of the repercussions. With protectionist policies that have been suggested, companies that don’t rely on overseas chemicals or materials will be better off compared to those that do, as they may get harder and more expensive to import.
It is impossible to predict what changes are coming and what the results might be. What is certain, though, is that Komax will remain at the forefront of changes within industries, continually providing the right equipment to help you do more.
