Many companies are familiar with the power of a Komax static mixer. With high mixing efficiency in a very small amount of space, every one that rolls off our line is a precision engineered device designed specifically to meet your needs, no matter what the industry. While we’d be happy to customize any static mixer you choose to better meet your needs, on our site, you’ll see a listing both for an “A” Series mixer and an “M” series mixer that you can choose from when you get ready to order. What’s the difference between these two products, and where should you even start when you finally decide our static mixers are the right place to turn?
Start With Us
The very first thing you may want to do is pick up the phone and give us a call. Our engineering specialists will work to learn more about your line and your industry, as well as the challenges you continually face, and that’s the key to getting the right static mixer to meet your needs.
The Difference Is . . .
Before you call us, though, you may still be wondering about the difference between these two products. Why are there two, anyway?
The “A” Series static mixer is an inline mixer that includes an additive port. It can be used for any threaded connection to a male pipe thread. It can also be converted to a flanged connection with a nipple and threaded flange. With this model, you can put your sensing probes directly downstream because we’ve built a flow straightener right into the mixer to help deal with centrifugal effects that often occur at that point.
The “M” Series inline static mixer offers triple action mixer, but it’s designed to be placed where additives to the main flow of your pipeline have already been introduced upstream. The housing here can be made of carbon steel, stainless steel or PVC. It’s available from our 2″ diameter model to 12″ in diameter.
