When talking of tank heaters, the first thing that comes to mind is the traditional tank heater, which was huge in size, took up a ton of space, and was hard to maintain.

Although those conventional tank heaters are still in use in several plants because they efficiently handle larger volumes, because of their inconvenience, modern steam heaters have begun to replace them.

Smaller and superior

So when we think of tank heaters today, they aren’t just those big, heavy machines anymore. They can also be smaller and just as robust and durable, while saving energy, money, and time.

Komax Systems Inc manufactures modern tank heaters, also known as steam heaters. The Scepter is one of the best known steam heaters by Komax.

No one would think heating water is a complicated process. Every one of us heats water on a regular basis, be it for making coffee or for taking a shower.

However, in an industrial setting, a lot of depends on this seemingly simple task of heating water.

Key differences

Komax manufactures different types of heaters for different kinds of liquids. For instance, sludge and slurry heaters will be different from water heaters. Every industry requires water heating for some reason. That is when Komax scepter tank heaters are highly useful.

Larger tank heaters consume much electricity and add to rising energy costs. Although they are useful for heating a large volume of water, they aren’t all that efficient for smaller tasks. That is why steam heaters are in such demand at small and medium manufacturing plants, because they save energy and handle small heating tasks well.

The scepter tank heater is designed for direct injection of steam into tanks. The Scepter tank heater comes with the Equalizer Module that is also used in the inline steam heaters.

The product runs quiet, is vibration free, and capable at stirring constantly and efficiently to help keep any solids or particulates in suspension. In fact, Komax steam heaters are so successful that the Equalizer module is also used by other companies for their own heaters.

Some of the defining features of the Komax Scepter tank heater are:

  • Available from sizes 2-inch to 12-inch
  • Either carbon steel or stainless steel construction
  • Quiet and vibration-free
  • Can be mounted from above, from below or with a side port
  • No auxiliary air supply required for quiet and vibration-free operation

The right scepter tank heater for you

The scepter tank heater is more prolific and effective than regular tank or steam heaters. Komax offers custom designs for specific areas of application.
