Water treatment problems are an ongoing issue throughout the United States and on a global level today. We’re working to develop the technology for better water treatment on a daily basis, and our methods have been employed in several facilities.
A Quick Look At One Application
Phoenix, one of the most rapidly growing areas in the United States, had a dilemma on their hands when it came to water treatment. The facility used had a simple setup that consisted of two basins adjoined by an 8 square feet flume. It used 7.5 horsepower automatic mixers and also had a pair of 4-blade components installed side by side. For years, that setup sufficed the need of the region. However, the increase in population made it inadequate, as it could only handle up to eighty million gallons per day.
Komax was selected to solve the problem at the Val Vista Water Treatment Plan due to the combination of productivity, efficiency and affordability that allowed us to build a custom-made mixer that can work with the same limited space previously used. The custom configuration was made completely from carbon steel, was treated to prevent long-term corrosion and was able to output a maximum of 140 million gallons daily, nearly double compared to the previous setup. Meanwhile, the price tag was far lower than some of the other alternatives, who also had significantly more head loss resulting in higher operating costs. The high-tech project was completed in short order and maximized the efficiency of the treatment chemicals, allowing them to distribute evenly in the water.
