Industries need solutions in different temperatures for their operations. While solutions with smaller volumes are easier to prepare, large batches of solutions with saturated temperature is a tough job for them.
Most of the industries use some specific equipment and technologies to prepare solutions with the right temperature. Before using any such equipment or technologies, the industries should know the full use of them.
Steam heating and desuperheating technologies are creating ideal solutions for various industries. A steam heater increases the temperature of a solution to the particular requirement. On the other hand, a desuperheater effectively reduces the temperature of the solution to the optimal temperature.
Steam Heating
A steam heater produces hot water/solution or steam depending on the needs of industries. All the heaters provide the option to prepare hot solution or steam at required pressure to make the job of industries easier. All of them are closed vessels, but some of them are inline type steam heaters.
The industrial steam heaters are known for producing uniform temperature for the entire solution. For that purpose, the heaters employ mixing chambers, and the chambers take care of proper mixing of solutions for uniform temperature.
A large majority of steam heaters use electricity to heat solutions, but some heaters work by using fossil fuels. While choosing steam heaters, the industries should give attention to the capacity of the heaters, the energy efficiency, and time duration to produce hot solution or steam.
Additionally, they should give attention to solution flow rate in gpm, steam flow in lbs/hour, the steam pressure produced, and final temperature.
Desuperheating
One of the biggest industrial challenges is superheated solutions and steam in their plants. The superheated solutions or steam cannot produce the required chemical reactions and industrial applications inside the plants due to the excess heat.
Therefore, a desuperheater takes charge of reducing the temperature to the optimal one. While coming to desuperheaters from different makers, most of them apply different technologies. Some of them use very sophisticated techniques to ensure more efficient desuperheating.
For instance, the desuperheater from Komax Systems works quite differently from other similar products available on the market. The equipment uses low-pressure water injection nozzle to pump the cooling solution. The desuperheating mixer has six mixing elements.
The steam comes inside the chambers of the equipment and mixes with the cooling product injected. The complex mixing elements of the equipment ensure proper mixing of both cooling product and steam to bring down the steam to a saturated temperature.
