Simple is better has long been an important foundation for philosophical theories. Occam’s Razor is a great example that infers, ‘The answer with the fewest assumptions is usually best.’ We at Komax have worked hard to internalize this idea and use it to bring you the most efficient, least needy, and overall best mixing elements available. Nowhere is this more apparent than with our Sanitary Steam Heaters for cooking viscous, and often times heavy slurries. The design, materials, and application are far better than other steam cooker designs for these reasons:
Design-Steam is mixed upwards of 99% efficiently into the mixture flow through a combination of upstream steam injection followed by a system of six Komax static mixing elements. The upstream injection creates a cone shaped reversal of steam as it conforms to the slurry stream. The spherical mixing elements then integrate these very fine bubbles of steam into the entire pipe’s volume of slurry, ensuring previously unseen accuracy of temperature adjustment from such a simple process.
Materials-Our steam injector and static mixers use no moving parts and therefore need maintenance in only extremely rare circumstances. Their ferule end connections make an easily disassembled product for thorough cleaning, and all parts are made of 316 stainless steel to guarantee no corrosion.
Application-An overlooked yet significantly important aspect of our design is that these mixers are really small. What used to require multiple high-volume tanks can now be seen from one of our fewer than two feet long pipe inserts no wider than the existing piping. Our mixer has no reverberations or noise and requires only miniscule energy inputs.
With great design comes unbounded application for sanitary starch cooking. This mixer will encourage faster production while creating a better output, because we at Komax know that the best answer is always the least complicated.
