There’s a fight brewing on the horizon in Washington. Later this year, the EPA will be finalizing its biofuel volumes required for each of the alternative fuels blended in the Renewable Fuel Standard. The National Biodiesel Board (NBB), though, suggests that the EPA is underestimating the biodiesel industry’s capacity to offer advanced options in the coming years.
The NBB Perspective
The NBB believes that due to the current Administration’s goals to reduce carbon emissions, something must change, and making the system (as a whole) less reliant on petroleum can do just that. If biofuel steps up to the plate, you get a cost-effective solution that helps to strengthen the economy and diversify the fuel market as a whole.
What Might Have to Change
If the NBB does get its way, several things may have to change. Biofuel suppliers would most certainly have to increase their capacity, and that not only means more jobs within the industry, but also better equipment. That’s where Komax comes in. We offer a number of technologies to help support the biofuel industry.
If the biofuel industry is going to increase its output, much is going to be required, and Komax will be here to help.
