The Komax Scepter Tank Steam Heater is designed for the direct injection of steam into tanks to heat liquids. This direct injection creates a strong stirring action that helps keep the solids in suspension. This stirring action also helps keeps a uniform temperature throughout the tank.
This scepter tank steam heater is quiet, has no vibration in its operation and is 100% efficient. The heater sends miniature bubbles of steam into large tanks that evenly distribute the heat. It’s attached to the regulated steam line that can be placed anywhere in the tank, which allows it to easily integrate to the plant’s existing equipment. The Komax Scepter Tank Steam Heater has no moving parts so there is no clogging or wear and tear on the heater. This also means that maintenance is not a problem. Komax placed its Equilizer at the end of the Scepter. This has the appearance of a miniature jet engine. When placed into the tank of liquid the Equilizer releases the steam which creates eddy currents. The water and the steam are mixed and divided by the mixing elements in each of the module holes. The water and steam then leave as a set of co-rotating vortexes. This stirring action helps create the uniform temperatures with low noise and low vibration. The stirring action has the added benefit of helping to prevent clogging.
The scepter tank steam heater is constructed from 316 stainless steel and is available in 1 to 10 inch pipe sizes. It can be mounted in a tank from above, below or on the side port configuration and they are available with threaded pipe connections for the steam from 1 to 3 inch pipe sizes. In addition to that, each unit uses a special Komax module by means of a pipe that has a diameter of about 2/3 of the Equalizer outside diameter. All in all, the Komax Scepter Tank Steam Heater has a great design and is made from quality materials and is made with quality craftsmanship.
