Many people now believe that liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the energy source of the future, and with good reason – it’s a very clean and an extremely efficient energy source. It is also an excellent alternative to oil and has the ability to reduce green house gas emissions. As a result of all of this, the numbers of LNG plants are increasing worldwide. As the number of LNG plants increase, the demand for newer, more efficient and more economical technology also increases, and Komax Systems has stepped up to meet that challenge with our Komax LNG desuperheaters.
The need for steam or gas desuperheaters in the operation of LNG plants is a must, and many plants are turning more and more to Komax for the technology they need most. Wondering why? Komax has integrated an Equalizer™ mixing module into their LNG desuperheaters. This module has a low pressured injection spray nozzle for injecting water into a superheated gas stream which reduces the superheated steam to the proper temperature almost immediately. This reduces the superheated steam to the correct value in an instant and cooling happens almost immediately.
In addition to that, the Komax Desuperheater needs a lot shorter straighter lay out than other desuperheaters require, which is extremely important because many LNG plants have limited space. One last wonderful feature of the Komax Desuperheater is the fact that it has no movable parts and thus requires little maintenance, has very low noise and has very low vibration.
Why is our desuperheater the best? Increased efficiency, the ability to deliver extremely accurate temperature control, elimination of thermal cycling fatigue, low maintenance, improved safety, and low cost. Sounds too good to be true? Not with Komax. Contact us today to learn more.
