Most mixing processes are focused on a single type of mixing – dry or wet, so to speak. When it comes to mixing gases, that is another problem altogether! Many industries, however, must face the problem of how to do this properly, since everything from breathing gases, food production and other scientific and industrial processes rely on proper gas/gas mixing. It is a difficult “brew” to create. But it can be done and done right with a Komax Gas/Gas Mixer.
The problem of mixing gases is that they must be very thoroughly mixed. Because they are very light, they must reach a high level of integration within the system. A Komax Hi-Pass static mixer with a side-mounted injector, located in front of the mixing elements, allows the immediate introduction of one gas to another for high efficiency mixing. The innovative design of this product leads to great success. Two thirds of the flow is directed toward the opposite wall. The mixer’s inner-set cavities then provide intensive flow reversal and impingement.
Imagine gases continuously crashing and mixing and you can get a sense of the high contact and turbulence that provides uniform integration of gas/gas mixing. A very low pressure drop means that mixing is taking place with existing flow and no significant negative impact, better than other mixers from other companies on the market. Low energy expenditure means the process also saves money on energy costs as well.
The gas/gas mixing process, in order to be done properly, must be done with a quality static mixer. Komax has the vision to create specific models to handle all three elemental states with a minimum pressure and high efficiency. Contact us to see what we can do for your business.
