PDA, PVDF, & PTFE Lined Static Mixer
Custom Static Mixer
Teflon lined static mixers and Kynar lined static mixers are used for applications where harsh chemicals need to be mixed without pipeline corrosion. When mixing harsh and aggressive chemicals, there is a need for corrosion-resistant inline static mixers. Komax Systems has Komax corrosion-resistant Teflon lined mixers & Kynar lined mixers used for mixing concentrated acid or other aggressive chemicals. Available in standard 1″-24″ diameter sizes as standard items. The inline static mixers are available with both schedule 40 carbon steel & 316L S.S. housings. Teflon mixing elements are 25% glass-filled for added strength. All wetted surfaces are Teflon or Kynar (as specified). A choice of injection ports is available, including removable “Injection Tees” and integrated “Injection Disks”. Request a quote for PDA, PVDF, & PTFE lined static mixers today.

Product Benefits
Teflon Lined Static Mixers
Chemical process engineers use Teflon lined static mixers, PTFE, and Kynar lined static mixers to extend service life and reduce maintenance while still processing resins and chemicals to protect the purity of the products. By effectively lining steel or reinforced plastic static mixers with Teflon, they can be used in chemical, power plant, aerospace, plastic, bio-pharmaceutical, mining, oil, and gas, or any other industry that uses harsh, corrosive, or abrasive products in the pipeline process.
Kynar Lined Static Mixers
Kynar Lined Static Mixers are an option for industries that work with applications that have high pH levels and aggressive chemical mixing. Constructed of Kynar these lined static mixers are chemical resistant and are capable of handling high-temperatures. Kynar-lined static mixers can be used in Municipal water, pulp and paper, chemical, oil sands, mining, food and beverage, biofuel, petrochemical, and power industries.
Triple Action Mixing Elements
The Komax Triple Action Mixer provides the highest level of mixing of any static mixer by providing Two by Two Division, Cross Current/ Impingement mixing and Back mixing, which produces very high mixing efficiency in a short lay length with low pressure losses.
Technical Specifications and Available Options for Lined Static Mixers
End Connections & Available Custom Options
- Flanged Ends: Flanged end connections allow specifically for easy mounting of the static mixer into the process pipeline. As a general standard, metal static mixers have raised face flanges per ASME B16.5 or ASME B16.47 (for sizes larger than 24”) standards. Komax can also fabricate mixers to contain DIN (metric) flanges as well.
- Threaded Ends: N/A.
- Weld Prep Ends: N/A
- Injection Port/Quill: An injection port or quill can be added to the static mixer to allow for an additive stream to be injected directly into the static mixer with desired connection type. Teflon mixing elements are 25% glass filled for added strength.

Additional Product Details
If your process is a non-batch-based process requiring consistent mixing within your system a static mixer may be right for you and your project. That being said, the best way to know if a static mixer is a right match for you is by getting in contact with our sales engineers who are expertly trained on the subject! Get your free quote today!
By having very specifically placed and pitched triple-action elements within the body of the inline static mixer, the flow of the fluid that is desired to be mixed acts as the propellant allowing the mixer to achieve near perfect homogeneity without added energy as there are no moving parts within our patented mixers.
While there are a number of different styles of static mixer offerings here at Komax Systems, such as channel mixers, sanitary mixers, and custody transfer mixers to name a few, the base purpose and function of our static mixers is the same. The mixer uses fixed triple-action elements within itself to take advantage of the already present inertia of the solution passing through the pipes to effectively and efficiently mix the product without requiring any movement or expending any excess energy.
Because static mixers do not move and use the kinetic energy that is already present they require no added electrical energy to be used leading to energy cost savings. Along with energy savings, the internal elements can be designed for easy removal so they can be cleaned and maintained without much hassle, allowing the life span of the mixer to be elongated making the static mixer itself to be an excellent investment for the greater pipeline process.
