Love it or hate it, the food industry is a global necessity. While it often creates some of the worst possible ideas, it also builds out innovations that help us survive and compete in the modern world, and make no mistake, food production on a large scale is always a complex operation, no matter what the final product. Komax works to help food production companies with an entire line of sanitary static mixers and starch cookers that revolutionize plant operations. Take a look at three companies we’ve worked with in the past to help increase their level of innovation.
- Milchof Herne: A yogurt manufacturer in West Germany, Milchof Herne contacted us to install our static mixers to continuously manufacture yogurt. The results were phenomenal. They got the consistently high quality they were looking for and saved operational costs thanks to the smaller size of our units. Add that to the fact that all of the equipment is fully enclosed thanks to our CIP technology, and the implementation of our systems made a huge difference in this company’s bottom line.
- Hunt Wesson: Nearly twenty years ago, Hunt Wesson installed Komax static mixers in all of their North America facilities. The results were an energy savings of over 95%. A single enclosed inline static mixing system with a spice injection section saved massive amounts of space – that equivalent to fifteen openly stirred tanks. It may seem like a simple fix, but for Hunt Wesson, it made all the difference.
- Citrus World: Tomato juice is part of the Citrus World line, but when it was introduced, it created some real blending issues. Viscous tomato paste has to be blended with water to come up with the perfect end product, but nothing they’d tried to date could make that happen. The Komax in-line static mixer, though, did. Installed vertically between the holding bin and the final blending tank meant the company was able to increase the output of the facility and continue their successful line of juices.
