The Jetsons have long been a model for our evolution into the future. It seems like everyone can imagine a future with flying cars, servant droids, and even entire meals held within a pill. While some of these ideas are beginning to come within reach, we will never feel satisfied getting stuck in one place. Instead, we must continue searching for better tomorrow by seeking advancements and entirely new technologies.
Industry is one of the main engines that drives progression. Only a few years ago companies would not understand the efficiency at which they now operate, but they could and did dream of electric cars, handheld computers, and an ever-better understanding of medicine. New materials, new processes, and new technology are continually revolutionizing the way our world functions and making these previous dreams reality. Not only does this growth benefit producers, but consumers as well feel the warmth of improvement.
The world is becoming an ever more crowded and delicate place. In other words, humans are needy. We as a species have only recently come into enlightenment about how our actions affect the world, thus prompting people to watch where they step and also support businesses doing their best to respect our planet and work for a better tomorrow. This prevalence for progression pushes the producer-to-consumer relationship into a positive feedback loop. In today’s renaissance, not only is it responsible to be forward thinking, sustainable, and efficient, but it is also now a profitable attitude.
Our industry is one of the most powerful drivers of societal evolution. By producing responsibly and also buying sustainably, we are most certainly propelling our species forward and into the time of the Jetsons. Don’t think it has to stop there, however, because humans are prone to always want something better.
