KOMAX STATIC MIXERS AID IN COMPLIANCE WITH NEW USEPA STANDARD FOR LEVELS OF ARSENIC IN DRINKING WATER

As of January 23rd, 2006, the United States Environmental Protection Agency lowered the National Standard for Levels of Arsenic in Drinking Water to 10 parts per billion (ppb) from the previous standard of 50 ppb established in 1975.

Since this new Standard was promulgated, KOMAX has received a significant number of inquiries regarding utilization of our Static Mixers to aid in initial strategies for compliance with this new Standard (i. e., blending high arsenic source water with clean water as a temporary solution).

The majority of these inquiries have resulted in orders and we expect this trend to continue as long-term strategies for compliance with the Standard are implemented (i. e., blending of coagulants with arsenic-contaminated source water prior to secondary treatment)
